access denied by server while mounting on Ubuntu client machine

Hello everyone,
I have the mount point of server specified in etc/fstab on my client. But showmount did not show the specified mount point in fstab. When I try to set the mount point using sudo mount -o v3 a-nfs-server:/path/to/export /path/to/mount it throws the error "access denied by server while mounting on ....".I have Solaris 10 server and client is ubuntu16.04.3.Could you please suggest a solution for this problem?

If no share is exported by the server, there is no point trying to mount one from a client.

First fix the share issue.

The way a directory is shared depends on whether you use the ZFS sharenfs property or a legacy export defined in /etc/dfs/dfstab.
