Able to mount remote drive via http

Hi,

I'm fairly new to using Solaris and I have what may or may not be a simple question.

I was sent the following request:
1) using Windows2000

My Computer
Map Network Drive
select "Web Folder or FTP Site"
Network Wizard opens
enter address: http://www.xxx/xxx/xxx
click on next
log-in/pswd: xxx/xxx
dialog box changes to "Completing the Add Network"
click on finish
shared folder should open.
a shortcut to the folder is saved in "My Network Places"

2) using Appleshare/IP

Chooser (OS9) or Connect to Server (OSX)
click on Appleshare icon
click on Server IP Address
enter: xxx.xxx.com
log-in/pswd: xxx/xxx
folder mounts on dekstop

Now do this using Solaris.

-----

The idea (not mine) is to be able to use http or https to file share from behind a firewall. With a Windows2000 web server handling all the security portion (again not my idea), the Solaris system acts as the client in this case.

Any help appreciated.

Keith

Please keep existing threads together.

If you want the other one moved to the Solaris forum, let a moderator know. There is no need to start a new thread on same subject/question.
