PCMCIA Installation Error..

Hey guys,

I can't really seem to find an answer to my problem. I'm trying to install Slackware 10.1 on a Toshiba Laptop of mine with a PCMCIA port in it. I have a wireless network card, and an ethernet card for this port. While booting off the intial installation CD (CD 1), I enter cfdisk, and setup my partitions like normal. Then I goto type "pcmcia" to tell slackware to look for my pcmcia device, but after this command is done, the installation hangs at this point:
<Probing for PICI: edit /etc/rc.d/rc.pcmcia> and I don't get a prompt back again. I have tried putting both cards in while running the installation scripts, as well as no cards at all, but still no success.

I have installed an earlier version of slackware on this laptop about a year ago, and the PCMCIA slot with either card works fine under windows.

Is this a known issue, or am I doing something completely off track?

Edit: also, I have used this disc to install Slackware 10.1 on my netserver, so I don't believe it is a corrupt CD.

Just thinking out loud, do I need to type 'pcmcia' before I type 'setup' to actually inform slackware of the PCMCIA presence, or if I leave my Wireless Network card, or the Ethernet Network card in, and continue on with 'setup', slackware will (if it has the drivers), automatically install it?

I didn't have to type in anything special. Just run setup normally, it should detect your pcmcia during the installation process.

If you're not going to use the card for the installation then there's not need to autodetect them during install.
