How I enabled Java plugin for Mozilla-firefox in Slack 10

Hello,

This is very trivial. But yet I want to record this so that it may be useful to somebody.

Ensure that j2sdk package is installed.
cd to /usr/lib/mozilla-firefox/plugins.

Issue the command

ln -s /usr/lib/java/jre/plugin/i386/ns610-gcc/libjavaplugin_oji.so

Restart Mozilla-firefox.

Thanks for the help Anand

Two things though. 1) In order to do this you need to type su in to the console in order to acquire root privledges or else it won't work. 2) Mine was in /usr/lib/java/jre/plugin/i386/ns610-gcc32 /libjavaplugin_oji.so

Cheers
