xf86config is an unrecognized bash command in fresh install of slackware 10

I installed Slackware for the first time tonight. My friends have been preaching slack to me for a long time, and I finally took the plunge today. But I can't get the X server to work the way I would like it to. I am stuck at 1024/768 resolution and limited to a refresh rate of 61Hz.

Following the instructions athttp://www.slackware.com/config/x.php configuration guide, I ran the command
Code:
root@blalock:/home/dsmurf# /usr/X11R6/bin/xf86config
bash: /usr/X11R6/bin/xf86config: No such file or directory
root@blalock:/home/dsmurf#
I don't really know why I am getting this error message. I just want to configure X so that I can use a resolution that's not 1024/768 @ 61Hz. I have a 21inch monitor, and running it at 1024 is akin to holding a magnifying glass up to a large billboard and trying to read it. Is there a step that I am missing here? I am used to Mandrake, which handles most of X configuration via graphical druids. Slackware is certainly very different from Mandrake. If any one wants to give any suggestions on what I should do, thanks in advance for the help !

Slackware and most distributions moved to X.org instead of Xfree86, try xorgconfig.

EDIT: forgot to say, the config file is /etc/X11/xorg.conf for X.org

Thanks for the fast reply. I found the file. I am working on configuring it right now.
