viewing video files in xfm or mc

Is there a way I can view video files from xfm or view them from midnight commander without having to manually type in the filename?

For mc, in ~/.mc/bindings you need to look over the file and add or modify the 'video' section, particularly defining the 'include/video' and making sure your regex's will define the filetypes and use the include. Then you should be able to navigate to them and hit enter. There are actually a variety of ways and means, but that's one. The man page and the comments in the file help - somewhat - in figuring it out. Dunno anything about xfm.

Have a look at
/usr/lib/mc/mc.ext
and make a similar file to that
~/.mc/ext

Cheers,
Tink
