Looks like I'm going to have to juggle some things around in my life very soon, or at least change my priorities. New desktop to facilitate this state of mind.
Well, I've got attachments to work (had to unblock one domain). Here is a recent screenshot of dwm in my slackware. It has been tweaked a little bit since my earlier post.
1. Had to --kill xfdesktop and save session without it - to get the root of the desktop to show
2. Disabled any compositing - to free the resources for GL
3.
Code:
/usr/libexec/xscreensaver/glmatrix -root &
somewhere in the autostart
CAVEAT: take care to always use low power screensavers
I only swapped back to fvwm a week or so ago and the config is still a work in progress. Mostly I've been fixing bugs in it and doing minor tweaks here and there.
I replaced the IMO useless pager with xload and I decided to replace the default fvwm-script based clock because it was execing a script every 10 or so seconds in order to run 'date' and it seemed a somewhat wasteful/inefficient approach to me.
xclock was just thrown in there as-is for the time being. I'll probably turn it back to digital. I really don't need to the second accuracy.
The two green squares bottom right are numlock/capslock indicators done via xkbleds: that took a lot of effort to get looking right.
Lots of work still to be done on this one.
I don't typically have the sharks swimming around on the root window. It's just something I do occasionally for fun. Normally I use the dark blue background tile from the WindowMaker Step2000 theme.
