Added support for the following GPUs:
Quadro GV100
Updated the driver to prevent G-SYNC from being enabled when a Quadro Sync board is installed. G-SYNC and Quadro Sync were always mutually incompatible features, and this change makes it easier to use G-SYNC capable monitors on Quadro Sync configurations, as it is now no longer necessary to manually disable G-SYNC.
Further improved the fix for occasional flicker when using the X driver's composition pipeline. This was mostly fixed in 390.42, but now the fix should be more complete.
Improved compatibility with recent Linux kernels.
Fixed a string concatenation bug that caused libGL to accidentally try to create the directory "$HOME.nv" rather than "$HOME/.nv" in some cases where /tmp isn't accessible.
Increased the version numbers of the GLVND libGL, libGLESv1_CM, libGLESv2, and libEGL libraries, to prevent concurrently installed non-GLVND libraries from taking precedence in the dynamic linker cache.
Fixed a bug which could cause X servers that export a Video Driver ABI earlier than 0.8 to crash when running X11 applications which call XRenderAddTraps().

oh good grief...I just posted 390.42 on Slackbuilds.org, recently pushed to public.

I had a libGL symlink bug because Nvidia didn't mention the driver version updates! Sigh.
Distribution: Slackware64-current with "True Multilib" and KDE4Town.

As reported by 1337_powerslacker, the new Nvidia BETA396.18 driver is available. I've just installed it with the DUSK 4.16.1 kernel and all is well..... so far....
edit in: Some time ago Nvidia announced the 390 series would be the last to support both 64-bit and 32-bit systems. I've checked and the 396.18 driver is not available in a 32-bit package, but the 64-bit version does continue to ask during the installation if you would like to install 32-bit compatibility libraries.

Reason: change last line to ...." compatibility libraries."
BTW, has anyone else noticed there is no longer a "User Agreement" presented when you start the driver installation?
It's been that way since 390.42. I don't know what to make of it, either. Less keystrokes, most certainly. Or perhaps NVIDIA no longer considers agreeing to the UA essential to the installation of the driver.

Yes, it worried me that I had missed something and had borked my first 390.42 NVidia Blob Installation Session, so I ran it again to verify.
Then again, it concerned me even more on an earlier release when the Splash Screen didn't appear on the Desktop when I ran startx ...
That one had me looking at [K]->[Settings]->[NVIDIA X Server Settings] to make sure that I had 'done it correctly' and that I had the proper Kernel modules installed
