Sounds won't work with Sound Blaster Audigy

Slackware has detected my sound card but I can't hear a thing from my speakers. There isn't anything wrong with the speakers or my ears so must be the configurations. How can configure my sound card? I'm using Sound Blaster Audigy as my sound card.

I have the same problem, but with Fedora Core2. Have you found any resolutions?

I am presuming that u have the ALSA package installed in which case try running as root alsaconf.
U can find other tips and advice on alsa which is going to be the help u need for ur sound configuration at this site

I can't believe no one has said this yet: Make sure your mixer settings aren't muted. type in "alsamixer" minus the quotes and unmute all the channels you want open. If you are in KDE you are going to have to go into control center and adjust the sound settings there too and then select the setting to load sound setup on boot and then click the save current settings button. If that doesn't work re-install alsa.
