some messed up man-pages

I have three computers which run Slackware 14.2. Two are in service, and are up-to-date with patches; the other was taken out of service, and no longer gets patches. All three are three are configured in a rather similar manner.

Today, I happened to run
Code:
darkstar:~$ man dig
and saw the output is messed up. Seeing this, I brought up some other man-pages. I found that
Code:
darkstar:~$ man nslookup
also gives messed up output. The other man-pages were fine. The messed up output looks like this
Code:
DIG(1) BIND9 DIG(1)

.SH "NAME" dig - DNS lookup utility
  .SH "SYNOPSIS"
    .HP 96u
      dig
       [@server]
       [-b address]
       [-c class]
       [-f filename]
       [-k filename]
       [-m]
       [-p port#]
       [-q name]
       [-t type]
       [-v]
       [-x addr]
       [-y [hmac:]name:key]
The computer which was taken out of service does not have a problem displaying the dig and nslookup man-pages. It has bind-9.11.22-i586-1_slack14.2.txz installed.

The two computers which display the messed up man-pages have bind-9.11.25-i586-1_slack14.2.txz installed.

Do the computers of anyone else give similar output?

The thread which "upnort" mentions above --> now contains a nice fix for manpage formatting problem. :-)
