In any case Gnome 46 alpha has just been released so there is no hurry.

As an aside looking at the news for Orca 46 alpha released today by Joanmarie Diggs there are so many changes that I am not in hurry to ship it in Slint but for testing. She did an awesome work as usual, but it will take some time for users to figure out what these changes imply for them.

Meanwhile I am glad that our Unofficial Gnome Team continue to stay on the bleeding edge.

Strange problem on 32bit Slackware v15.0

root@glennmcc-Dell:/etc/slackpkg# slackpkg update

_________

Ah ha... the problem is wget

root@glennmcc-Dell:/etc/slackpkg# wget https://mirrors.slackware.com/slackware/slackware-15.0/

______________

None of my 64bit systems have that problem using https://mirrors.slackware.com/

But, on the 32bit system I have to use an http mirror such as http://mirrors.kernel.org/

_____

OK.... it's not _just_ mirrors.slackware.com that wget is having a problem with.

Neither wget nor wget2 are able to connect to _any_ https site at-all.

root@glennmcc-Dell:/# wget https://www.google.com/

root@glennmcc-Dell:/# wget2 https://www.google.com/

__________

Further testing shows that it's a system-wide problem.

lynx & links also can-not verify the certificate of any https site.

Have you tried, as root ? :
Code:
# update-ca-certificates -f

OK... something got mess-up in perl so reinstalled perl, updated the certificates and all is fine now.

Thanks for the heads-up on update-ca-certificates -f
