______________
None of my 64bit systems have that problem using
https://mirrors.slackware.com/
But, on the 32bit system I have to use an http mirror such as
http://mirrors.kernel.org/
_____
OK.... it's not _just_ mirrors.slackware.com that wget is having a problem with.
Neither wget nor wget2 are able to connect to _any_ https site at-all.
