/proc/dev/net and /proc/net/dev problem !

Hi.
I'm currently trying to boot Slackware (zipslack) via pxe. You can check this adventure here :
http://www.linuxquestions.org/questi...d.php?t=554021

But i have a strange problem. The diskless boots to a certain point, and complains about a missing /proc/dev/net . But, there's no /proc/dev/net in Slackware with 2.4 or 2.6 kernel...

And /proc/net/dev exists in 2.4 and 2.6.

Where can be the solution ? Is it in the initrd ?

Modprobe was missing in the initrd, so i installed module-init-tool. The error message is now "correct".
