Problem installing Slackware on MacBook Pro

I'm new to using Linux, so I probably should be using a more graphical distro, but I like to try stuff like this. My problem is when I try to get to cfdisk in the install, I get an error saying that the drive is not readable. Any ideas on how I could fix this?

Edit: Ack, I just noticed the installation subforum. My bad.

Try typing in this at a root shell prompt, it will give a list of available devices.

# fdisk -l

Then you can set-up your drive with this command cfdisk /dev/nameofharddrive

For example:

# cfdisk /dev/sda

P.S. If you are used to graphical distros I strongly suggest that you read the manual before you install Slackware. Also, you may wish to google your procedure to see if other people have successfully installed Slackware on a Mac.
