Package Management


hi there,

I'm looking for a good Package management to install, remove and update all my applications. Is there anything similar to " apt-get (Debian) " ??
Anyhelp would apperciated.

Slackware uses "pkgtool".
You can install apt-get into any distrobution I think.
I've never used it but there is apt-get like program for slackware called "slapt-get" (http://www.linuxpackages.net/pkg_details.php?id=3326)

Never used it, but I'd imagine 'slapt-get' would be much like that.

What's wrong with pkgtools (and possibly checkinstall)?
