does anyone know how to configure Slack (9.1) to print through the PS110? I searched the net, but all I found was a Mandrake tutorial which did all the configuration using a Mandrake GUI (Control center). Also, I have absolutely no experience with printing under Linux. Hope someone can help.
Thanks Astro, but wouldn't CUPS/Linux find the Print Server simply by using the IP address? I don't need to know the MAC address of linuxquestions.org to go there, why do I need the MAC address for the print server?
aaah but you do, you need to know the MAC of the router nearest to you to get to lq.org, so regardless, if it uses TCP/IP it uses MAC, no questions asked.
TCP, IP, and IPX specifically run at layer 3 on the OSI model... SPX runs on layer 4 of the OSI model. ALso NetBUI runs on both layer 3 and 4. The print server supports TCP/IP, IPX/SPX, and NetBEUI. fyi is all this post is for.
