Just to know, is there a reason why the gst-plugins-bad and gst-plugins-ugly packages are missing in the default installation?
(I'm specifically searching for the version 1.6.x, not the 0.10.x)
This module contains a set of plugins that have good quality and correct functionality, but distributing them might pose problems. The license on either the plugins or the supporting libraries might not be how we'd like. The code might be widely known to present patent problems. Distributors should check if they want/can ship these plugins.
...and for that reason, they will not be added to the distribution.
You can get the SlackBuild script and create these packages yourself, or download pre-built packages from 3rd party repositories (if you can find them).
Also, the gstreamer 1.x versions are only incorporated into slackware-current at the moment, so SlackBuilds.org will not have proper support yet (SBo supports stable Slackware releases only).
You should know more than me, but I though the plugins with legal issues were the -ugly ones, where the -bad ones should have only "technological" issues.

In fairness, known technological issues are just as valid a reason *not* to include a package as license/patent issues. Particularly so given Slackware's mission as a stable/robust distribution.
