Installing slack 12 to 2nd hard drive, lilo question
I'm installing slack 12.0 on a second hard drive, hdf, my first drive is hde.
I already have slack 9.1 on both hde and hdf. hde is the master and the lilo on boot offers a choice between quantum, hde or western digital, hdf
copy of lilo.conf from hde (master)
image = /boot/vmlinuz
root = /dev/hde1
label = quantum
read-only # Non-UMSDOS filesystems should be mounted read-only for checking
# Linux bootable partition config ends
# Linux bootable partition config begins
image = /boot/vmlinuz
root = /dev/hdf1
label = western
read-only # Non-UMSDOS filesystems should be mounted read-only for checking
# Linux bootable partition config ends
My question is, when I install 12.0 on the second hard drive and assuming hdf1 remains the boot partition, there should be no reason to change the lilo config on the master drive hde, however, I would still need to install lilo on the new 12.0 install on hdf, right???
