How usable is wine64 now?

Anyone using wine64? Any use yet? I have a java based file only available in x64 I want to use without windows. The linux version is beneath contempt.

I'm running 64bit-only game (Wolfenstein New Order) in wine64, works flawlessly. Can't comment on other use cases though.

seeing as most windows ?64? bit programs are just the 32 bit code built on a 64 bit OS

Thanks for replies. I'll build it. It's worth the trouble to get one recalcitrant bit of software only released in x64 up. Well it's not worth it, but I'm doing it anyhow.

The x86_64 instruction set has the following assembly load instructions, iirc: ld ( 64 bits or bus width); ld32; ld16; ld8, & probably ld128 (2x 64 bit loads). It's very easy to run 32bit code, & lower is possible.

Well, whenever i need slackware i just use the pre-built slackware packages from sourceforge and they work fine.

I usually build the git, which has the latest fixes. I'm into it now.
clone the git
cd into it & mkdir wine32-build wine64-build

configure && make in the 64 bit, install to a $DESTDIR. To make the 32 bit, use --with-wine64=../wine64-build and install to the same $DESTDIR. Then make a package. I had to spend some of the day in bed yesterday, so I started it then.
