Frozen-Bubble(from slack 8.2) Not Running in slack 9
Tried to install frozen-bubble game with the tgz taken from slack 8.2. I used installpkg and it went through without displaying any error(s).
When I typed frozen-bubble a handful of error messages were displayed and I ended up with a "compile error"
I would like to know if a package meant for 8.2 will not run (compile) on slack9?
What should be done?
This is the errors:
>>Can't locate fbmdkcommon.pm in @INC (@INC contains: /usr/lib/perl5/5.8.0/i386-linux /usr/lib/perl5/5.8.0 /usr/lib/perl5/site_perl/5.8.0/i386-linux /usr/lib/perl5/site_perl/5.8.0 /usr/lib/perl5/site_perl .) at /usr/bin/frozen-bubble line 43.
BEGIN failed--compilation aborted at /usr/bin/frozen-bubble line 43.<<
I installed it from source (from the frozen bubble website) a while back (version 1.0).
Bit hazy now but I seem to remember installing perl 5.8 and lots of SDK stuff to get it to compile.
Check the dependencies section on the fb website
Most of the time I find Slackware 10.2 very good. It's simple, robust... it's got everything I need (=Quanta Plus)... and it's free! But where's the Gnome then?
...and it doesn't have that Frozen Bubble!
