Fresh install of slackware 14.1 and cannot install mayan boot splash

Okay, this isn't really a problem, but I did a fresh install of 14.1 beta and cannot install the mayan bootsplash from 14.0. Will 14.1 have it's own custom boot splash?

I'm just curious.

Did you edit lilo.conf and modify the bitmap option to
Quote:
bitmap = /boot/slack14.0.2012.bmp
? and then run lilo?

Don't forget to copy the mayan bitmap file from LILO docs folder first to /boot

Just copy the bmp file to the /boot directory like that :

Code:
# cp /usr/doc/lilo-24.0/sample/slack14.0.2012.bmp /boot
Then set the bitmap parameter of the /etc/lilo.conf file to the path of your copied bmp file.

And run

Code:
# lilo -v

I tried copying the file as below (per willysr's blog) and received an error. It's worked before with 14, but seems to be missing with 14.1?

bash-4.2# cp /usr/doc/lilo-23.2/sample/slack14.0.2012.bmp /boot
cp: cannot stat '/usr/doc/lilo-23.2/sample/slack14.0.2012.bmp': No such file or directory
bash-4.2#

Slackware current has Lilo 24.0, not 23.2, you have to adapt the version numbers.
