Firefox 10 crashes instantly [FYI]

so i just updated some stuff to go with the new 3.2.9 custom smp kernel i configured, had to reconfig cuz i added rtc support and boot would hang for abut 5 mins then move on so i removed that and also the ati kernel support (i installed proprietary drivers), after the update from alienBob's repository i added the gecko media player, when i would launch FF it would crash instantly

tried running from command line to create a new profile

firefox -P
GLib-GIO-ERROR **: Settings schema 'apps.gecko-mediaplayer.preferences' is not installed

still crashed

tried from command line to run in safe mode
firefox -safe-mode
GLib-GIO-ERROR **: Settings schema 'apps.gecko-mediaplayer.preferences' is not installed
removepkg gecko-mediaplayer-1.0.4-x86_64-1alien

FF works happily

just for awareness, if anyone else is having similar problems, i actually did read all the txt files related to the changes of the apps i installed as one major one glibc2 was required for the 3.x kernel compiles, according to kernel.org readme

not sure if this is a bug or me just being a newb user so thought i'd post it for awareness...
