Dell Dimension e521 SATA DVD drive wont install

I am attempting to install slackware 11 on a new dell e521. The computer has SATA HD and DVD drive. If i boot with sata.i I can partition the hard drive but when I begin the install and it looks for the source cd it finds no cd drives attached. Does anyone have a work around?

same problem here with dell precision 380, I cant install using dvd. Boot with a live cd, partition your hd. Copy slack to hd. Install using hd option...
