Building Kodi addons, help wanted

Hi

I'm in the process upgrading my Kodi install and I need a PVR addon compiling.

I can use slackbuild scripts to compile Kodi and create an install package just fine but Kodi's "preferred" way to build addons is "in-tree"

I can never get the pvr addon I want to work with a slackbuild script, I've always had to clone both Kodi and pvr.hts from Github and follow the instructions on the Github pages which usually involve jumping through various hoops.

Does anyone know of an easier way to build Kodi addons on Slackware ?

Thanks, that's brilliant.

I borrowed the your pvr.nextpvr script and changed all the references of "nextpvr" to "hts" and all the "Matrix" branch references to "Nexus".

It works like a dream, with a few warnings but it produces a package I can install and more importantly... IT WORKS

I just cleaned them up alot and made them simpler to read and adjusted the building process.

"pvr.hts" is the addon that allows Kodi to talk to my TVHeadend backend that I use to record/stream live TV. I've tried several over the years but it's the one that has always been easy to setup how I like it plus it never crashes on me. I had one system running it that clocked up over 1100 days continuous uptime.
