Sabayon Non starting setup

Morning guys

I have tried 2 ISO's so far KDE and GNOME but what ever option i choose on the menu for installation i.e. Graphic Install, Console Mode, Steam, etc it will load everything it needs and do an automatic login but no setup screen is displayed. It will just sit at the prompt. is their anything i should have done or be doing?

is that something like this?
if yes, it is a really old nvidia graphic card and most probably that is where your problem comes from - no appropriate driver available. nouveau fails. no graphical desktop.
you could try to force sabayon to use the fallback driver (some grub command line editing).
or try booting to recovery, see if that works.

For anyone else that runs into this:

1. Boot into a terminal as root (or single user) then use eselect to switch to the X11 opengl drivers.

2. I had to go back to Sabayon 13.8 to get the thing to install and be usable. Then I used kernel-switcher (don't go directly to 4.0. Take small bytes) to get to current stuff.
