Use the Fedora Core 6 extras repo for these packages(note xmgrace is grace), a sample /etc/yum.repos.d/FC6.repo file below;

yum install grace xemacs --enablerepo=fc6-extras

[fc6-base]
name=Fedora Core 6 Updates
mirrorlist=http://mirrors.fedoraproject.org/mirrorlist?repo=core-6&arch=$basearch
enabled=0
gpgkey=file:///etc/pki/rpm-gpg/RPM-GPG-KEY-fedora-extras
gpgcheck=0

mirrorlist=http://mirrors.fedoraproject.org/mirrorlist?repo=updates-released-fc6&arch=$basearch

It is on the RHEL5 media and available from RHN as acroread and acroread-plugin.

yum install acroread acroread-plugin

If you use the Adobe.com version you need to apply a patch, see;

Probably because Fedora Core 6 is out of support. Not much you can do on that front unless you can find the rpms somewhere else - you may need to start installing stuff from source if it's not in RH repos

You will probably find that FC 6 repos aren't being maintained as Fedora 9 is about to come out. Note that RHEL5 is based on FC 6 which is why this worked for you before.

What software are you after? There may be RH repos available

Are you installing this on new machines (since you would seem to have installed it above). If so, hopefully the rpms are on the older machines still. Try copying them off to the new machine(s)
