Send Error Messages

Good day.

I'd like to ask if you guys know of any guide that will make my server send an email message (to a free email service like gmail.com) everytime it encounters an error?

I've read this procedure before but now I can no longer find it. Thank you very much for your help and looking forward for your responses.

syslog has the facility to send the messages to Remote PC or mails to local user.

The config file is /etc/syslog.conf [You could have specified your distro]

And check
man syslog.conf
for details.
See if that helps you.

Thank you very much for your prompt reply, sir.

With regards to distro, I thought that when I posted in the Red Hat section it is considered as a Red Hat distro.

Actually, a friend just asked me to post this question here since he's busy configuring how to do that stuff. And all I know, sir, is that he's using Red Hat.

Anyway, I will tell my friend to look into what you have suggested and later will post on the results.

Again, thank you very much.
