RedHAt does not boot - SAN issue

Firstly, please be gentle with me as this is my first post, and Linux is new to me. I've installed a qlogic HBA and attached a SAN to a RedHat Enterprise box. The issue is that the machine now fails to boot as the driver for the HBA loads before the internal RAID controller driver thus effectively renaming all of the devices.

The issue (and solution) is described in "lula.org\pipermail\lula\2003-May 000074.html", but I cannot seem to get mkinitrc to reflect the changes I make in modules.conf.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!
