Linux version 2.6.9-42.EL ppc64 running on a LPAR

Linux version 2.6.9-42.EL ppc64 running on a LPAR IBM,9111-520.
So its booting off a 10 GB SAN volume that is being served out by Dual VIO servers. An additional 10 GB was added. i can not see the free space using Logical Volume Management but I can see the free 10 GB using Hardware Browser. I booted into Rescue Mode and used the parted/print command and it showed 20 GB available. both resize and move command failed to do the trick. How do I add my 10 GB of free space to my VG.

thnx
