Gnome Main menu problem

can anybody tell me how to add an item to the Gnome Main menu in RedHat Linux 9.0

Have fun I've been trying to figure that out forever check out a prev post I put up there is a way to do it by adding files but I couldn't get it to work. I just started using KDE...

I tried and the solution didnt work, I couldnt add any new item to Gnome Main menu.

In KDE much more easy, just right click on K menu, and you can see Menu Editor to add new item.

I wonder why there's no such a feature to add new item to Gnome Main menu
