Can gcc 3.2.2-5 run on RH8.0

Hi folks,

RH 8.0

Durning installing Globus Toolkit a warning popup because of gcc-3.2-7 running.

# rpm -q gcc-*
gcc-3.2-7

It requires gcc 3.2.2. and I have 'gcc-3.2.2-5.i386.rpm' downloaded from RH website. Kindly advise whether I can

# rpm -e gcc-3.2-7

and then

# rpm -ivh gcc-3.2.2-5.i386.rpm

Can the latter run on RH 8.0 ?

TIA

B.R.
