Hi all,

I am trying to fully understand those scripts and when they get executed.
So I put it in a drawing: http://img51.yfrog.com/i/rhelbashprofile.png/

Could someone take a look at it? I want to make sure I interpreted the scripts correctly.

Nice diagram!

Not quite right. The best explanation I know about these files is the GNU Bash Reference's 6.2 Bash Startup Files. If you have already read that please post again and I'll tell you what is not quite right with the diagram.

I did read it

Do note that this is RHEL and that this probably is different from other distros (the files and how they work; the invocation will probably be the same).
