Want to download 5.7.0 from ibiblip. 'Says pick No-pae or pick 0-PAE. What's "PAE"? Which should I choose?

Run uname -a, it should tell you if your kernel has PAE enabled.

In a nutshell, PAE lets a 32 bit processor use more then 4G of memory. You can look at the output of the command cat /proc/cpuinfo to check for the PAE flag which indicates your processor is supported. Pentium Pro processors and newer support PAE.

If your computer does not have more than 4GB of memory and its CPU is at least a Pentium Pro then it really does not matter. If you do not know then post the make and model of your computer or its specifications.

@michaelk

Please note, OP may run non-PAE kernel on PAE capable CPU.
