Not here to the best of my admittedly limited knowledge.

For what it's worth, this link may be helpful. It purports to link to a new Puppy-related forum to continue the tradition: http://murga-linux.com/puppy/

I apologize if this is a redundancy.

It's the way of the internet - people use aliases with nothing tying them to their physical existance.
Maybe they signed up elsewhere under a different username.
Both aliases are not particularly unique, so a web search doesn't help either.
Maybe ask the same question on the new puppy forum?

Thanks for the link, Frank.

@ gnashley :-

TBH, we've lost a LOT of the old crowd in the transition to the new forum. Which we didn't have a lot of choice in, TBH......with the old forum's host, JM, dying back in late May from a heart attack, the VPS coming up for annual renewal, and his accounts being frozen by the legal mechanism, it was that or disappear completely.

Murga forum member rockedge had set up a 'test' forum with the newest phpBB software back in November last year, to try and sort out a long-standing problem whereby new members never got a confirmation e-mail with link, due to the old forum's antique "http" status. Mail providers all block non-https requests nowadays as being insecure.

BK and jamesbond between them managed to convince Linode to give them access to JM's account, so at least we've saved the old Forum from extinction. It's now a giant 'read-only' archive.....rather fitting, given the way Puppy works!

Rockedge is now our new admin. It's nice to have admin that gets things done when necessary; you probably remember from the old Forum that John Murga was summat of an 'absentee landlord', and often wouldn't put in an appearance for months, even years at a time....

New forum is here:-

https://forum.puppylinux.com/index.php

Technosaurus and goingnuts were getting so they were only very occasional visitors, long enough before all this happened. TS was getting so he didn't like how big Pups were getting, so I think he just lost interest. As for goingnuts, hasn't been seen for a long time...

But the Forum's still about! From an initial group of around 40 regulars in late July, membership's now over the 800 mark, and growing at around 25-30 a week. All bodes well for the future, I think....

Mike.
