Puppy - USB Keyboard & Mouse not recognized - Kernel parameters

Hi:
Thanks in advance for any thoughts.

I have a 32bit Tarhpup on a flash drive that I want to uses as my portable system on different machines in my workplace. Most of the time it boots fine but some machines it fails to recognize the usb keyboard and mouse so it becomes useless. The machines in question recognize the USB keyboard in the bios and both with their HD installed OS so it is not a hardware problem.

How can I change the kernel parameters to force looking for USB devices in a more successful manner? Is changing the kernel parameters the right approach do debug this.

Thanks again,
Scott

I believe changing the kernel parameters is the right thing to do. If you want to compile a new kernel look under HID to find these options.
