Unhappy No CDRW Support

I started evaluating this in VirtualBox and...

First thing I noticed is the supplied CD Burner, PBurn, will not do CDRW's.

The guest gets a virtual, VBox 'created' drive.
I'm in the process of web-searching: virtualbox cdrw
And might return later with results

Update: I think you have a 'PassThru' checkbox, in Storage, on ide cd drive.
https://askubuntu.com/questions/2882...-in-virtualbox
I'm still looking for VBox doc to quote.

Update: https://www.virtualbox.org/manual/ch05.html#storage-cds
From lmgtRTMfy: https://www.google.com/search?q=virt...virtualbox.org

Yea, on Linux host, the 'glitches' scare me!!! On M$WinJunk host, it's Utopia, IMHO
Because it turns M$WinX into just a (monster) 'device driver' for Linux
p.s. Excuse my obsessive hobby of web-hunting for TheMagic keyword(s).

Might just be a VirtualBox issue, I've had many issues with VirtualBox.

It's not all it's cracked up to be...

Lightbulb I write Solv'd, so *I* won't cause a seach-hit of the 'real' full word

I updated my update
Mark Thread Solv'd (at top) when done, so future searchers can find it!!!
(In addition to Solv'd web-search keyword, LQsearch also has a Prefix choice Solv'd)
Another note: you can use the GoAdvanced on Edit of #1 (the initial post in a thread) if you want to enhance the ThreadTitle.

Yes.
Quote:
The standard CD/DVD emulation allows for reading standard data CD and DVD formats only. As an experimental feature, for additional capabilities, it is possible to give the guest direct access to the CD/DVD host drive by enabling "passthrough" mode. Depending on the host hardware, this may enable three things to work, potentially:

CD/DVD writing from within the guest, if the host DVD drive is a CD/DVD writer
