Manually installed (by clicking .pet file) pet packages inexecutable.
I am using Puppy 5.2.5 (Lucid). I installed Rar 2.9 beta 2 (i don't remember the version exactly, but the one i am talking about here, means the one which is having issues is in the Puppy Package Manager, but still installed it by clicking the .pet file). It showed in the installed package list. After installation it also showed its category as Utilities. But it doesn't show in the utilities. I browsed to /usr/bin and clicked the executable file but it still din't work. I even tried the 'exec' command but it still dint work. Please tell me what to do. I would have installed it using the PPM but i am looking that do the applications work on installing them without PPM. Because i am going to compile some programs which are in none of Puppy's repositories.

Okay, whenever a proggie behaves bad, I try to execute it from the console.
Just type the command in the console and see what comes back, no exec, no this or that, just the command.. Let's start there.
Everything in Linux MUST be able to start from the console, X is ONLY a shell, and is NOT allowed to add to the functionality as a whole. So, starting the thing from the console should yield at least some error message(s)...
