Hello,

I'm a new puppy user; When I tried to install jre1.6.0_11.pet on puppy 4.1 I got that error message.I upgraded to 4.2 two days ago and again this error message.

I don't understand this space issue, I used the universal installer to install the OS to sda1 (3Gig linux/1Gig W32) I thought I'd have access to the whole 3Gig minus the OS space used.

I did try the .3fs file option, I chose the 1Gig option and all my streaming videos stuttered so bad I quickly reinstalled the OS.

Thanks in advance.

I think the question is how much free space do you have where the jre is trying to uncompress itself. Can you please run df -h and post the results here. You may have 2.x gig free in root, but nothing in /tmp, etc.

Your tempfs partition is completely full and also quite probably too small... you need to clean out your tempfs and resize it to make it bigger.

I used the universal installer, why would it install, too small, by default?

During the install process I did not see any option for adjusting the size. Can i make the changes without reinstalling? I have 2Gig of free space, according to the tray applet.
