Installing Puli on computer

As the subject says, is there a way to install Puppy Puli to a computer and have it save and access files? I am aware that it is a fork of Tahrpup that is supposed to be run from a usb, but that should also mean that it can run from an internal hdd right? I have installed it on my computer and installed it the same way I would install Tahrpup, but on every bootup it asks me for initial information and doesn't seem to save the session even though I do a smart save. Any help would be appreciated.

Based on the thread I decided to format my partition to fat32 (don't know if this was necessary, but it works) and to copy the files in sdb1 to / in sda1. This has allowed me to boot into puli like if it were a usb, now the only thing I need to do is figure out how to save and load sessions automatically.
