how to get text from abiword into a floppy?

I have Puppy 109ce and want to transfer some text to a floppy. I appear to be able to save the text ok in various places, and I have mounted the floppy, but how to put the saved text file into the floppy?

If the floppy is mounted, you can drag & drop like you do under Windows.

Hi Uxq
It has been a long time since I used any of the 1xx series Puppies but from memory I had the same problem. I found that although I was getting lots of error messages when I moved a file. If I tried to open the file in its new location it would open with no problems.
Once I started moving files from the command line I got no more error messages. I don't have a floppy drive so may be wrong here but if you open a terminal in the directory that contains the file (right click > terminal here.)from memory, it has changed in the 2xx series with IceWm. Or click on the rxvt icon and change directories to where your file is. The code should be something like
Code:
mv ./"the file you want to move" /dev/fd0/
or maybe
Code:
mv ./"the file you want to move" /mnt/"where you mounted the floppy drive"/
Hope this helps
Bill

I have just done a new Type 2 install and now can't open MUT using Start>File System>MUT(?)(a bit of a worry) to mount and then unmount the floppy. Time to swot up on the commands perhaps.

Can you open Pmount. Start>file system>Pmount (I think).
Sometimes Pmount will find and mount a drive that MUT can't. This also works the other way.

Thanks for the tip Bill. Have just found out Abiword won't open either in this new type 2 install.
