Copy text in pdf file

I just got a pdf of a repair manual for my car.

I need to copy a page and paste it in another document.

It won't let me copy text.

How can I make that copy and paste ?

I think, since I copied quite some text in my carreer (legally, of course) it depends on the reader. A drag with the mouse may not be an option, I assume. What I do (just tested) is drag the mouse over the text, right click, select "copy" and paste the text in an other document...
One other way could be to print it to file...select an other format, of course...
Looking on with interest...

Thanks, I will try out okular.

In choosing a document editor, I went with LibreOffice.

OpenOffice is a pig at almost 1 Gb !!

Not surprised.

I was not criticizing OpenOffice.

Though I have a ton of free space, I still want to make efficient use of disk space.

My Windows installation is about 50% bigger overall than Puppy Linux.

And I have a lot more programs in Linux.

My Windows video driver is 1 Gb.

Unbelievable it is so big just for a video driver !

For Extracting Text or Jpg from a PDF,
I use PeasyPDF for Convert/Join/Extract.

on my lightweight pdf viewers, right-click + drag usually highlights text (and copies to primary buffer).

I've found that Abiword comfortably opens PDF files.

From there you can copy and paste whatever you require.
