you downloaded a zip file I think. You need to uncompress it, and cd into bin/obj_unix_elf. You can find a readme in that directory. Did you find it? Did you follow the instructions specified in that file?

the "exe" is FOR MICROSOFT WINDOWS!!!
you need to link the elf file
"sol_asm2_unix_elf.obj"

read : "sol_asm_2012_10_30_v36_12/bin/obj_unix_elf/read_me.txt

Code:
In order to obtain a functional binary executable for you UNIX OS
you willl have to:

1) Link the provided ELF OBJ with your OS LIBC and obtain the executable.

Link with this command:
	gcc sol_asm2_unix_elf.obj -o sol_asm2.exe

Test the created executable:
	./sol_asm2.exe
also you will want to RENAME it to linux standards
Code:
gcc sol_asm2_unix_elf.obj -o sol_asm2

./sol_asm2
