Add restart button to desktop

I would like to add a restart button to my desktop for a fast restart rather than selecting from the start menu. Can this be done?

Yes, add a starter to the command 'sudo reboot' to your desktop. You'll probably have to set up sudo as well to accept the command without a password, you can do this with 'sudo visudo'.

cheers,
