URL ending in parenthesis not prepared properly on this site
same as title

Cut and paste a URL from a browser address bar into the "quick reply" message box on this site, in any thread.

This site will identify the URL for what it is and automatically enclose the copied link in url tags.

If the URL ends in a right parenthesis, this site will place the closing url tag to the left of the paren, thus corrupting the url.

Like this:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ajax_(programming)

This issue first came up and is discussed somewhat on this thread:

For URL's of this nature you'll need to manually use the url tag. Thanks for the feedback.

In the alternative, the site could choose to not convert the url to a link.

It works correctly for the much more common case of (http://www.linuxquestions.org), so we have no plans to change the behavior at this time.
