Webpage to file

Hey Hey.

I am about to tackle my next project and have a few questions. What I am doing is building a script that will monitor a live feed and record all changed to the feed to a file. The live feed monitors a forum and any new post made goes into the live feed.

Here is the problem: I believe the livefeed works w/ javascript. If you load the live feed in lynx it does not automatically update itself. Also, the live feed (in any browser) initially loads the old posts, finishes loading the page, and then the script quickly posts the most recent 5-10 posts. This means that lynx can't simply dump it to a file because the most recent posts would not be accounted for.

Is there any way to record this live feed? It is a vBulletin board, FYI

Thanks and I'll answer any questions you ask!

ME!

If the site is owned by you, adding an RSS feed is the best solution. If not, just download the page and extract the part of content that's interesting (probably can be spotted using HTML/CSS markup) and perform diff on the result.
