Vala or javascript for GNOME


Hi everyone, im learning programming and i know C now, its pretty lenguage and i want learn more lenguages, i love GNOME, and i want build a gnome app, i did read about that javascript is the main lenguage for gnome now, vala is interesting, but if i learn javascript i can use it also for web.

Which i must choose?

"Which programming language should I use" is something you should know better than to ask.
