Using fmin function w/g++-2.9x

I've got a program using the fmin function which supposedly is declared in <math.h>. Using gcc-3.2 it compiles with or without including math.h. Using 2.95 however I get these compilation errors:

gidgenerator.cpp:100: implicit declaration of function `int fmin(...)'
make: *** [libgenerator.so] Error 1

and this with 2.96

gidgenerator.cpp:100: `fmin' undeclared (first use this function)
gidgenerator.cpp:100: (Each undeclared identifier is reported only once
for each function it appears in.)
make: *** [libgenerator.so] Error 1

Where is this thing defined at? I found a macro in tgmath.h but it didn't help.

Code:
extern double fmin(double,double);
If it is not in math.h where it is for all ANSI C/C++ compilers.
Link against the math library
