Are you trying to use the symbol in a userspace program or a kernel module? Userspace programs cannot see into the kernel. If you're doing stuff with kernel modules or in the kernel itself, I'm not an expert, but make sure you called export_symbol properly.

I'am a newbie...
In the first module ,i exported a symbol and then insmoded it ,so i could get it in /proc/ksyms .
Then I wrote another module where i called the symbol ,after gcc -c ,no problem occurred.
but when insmod, i got the error "Unresolved symbol ***"
