Is the return value of 'max_size' for 'std::vector' implementation-specific? I looked in the header that comes with g++ and it always returns -1, however I can imagine for some embedded applications it will return something much smaller. Thanks.

Please disregard. Although I don't have the answer, the reason I asked was to see if I should check the size limit of a vector before resizing so the user won't have an exception if they try to make the vector too large. I just went through and did a max_size check before each resize just to make sure.
