perl script to dump /var/account/pacct

As I understand it, lastcomm does not dump all of the process accounting information.

Does anyone have a perl script that does dump all of the information held within pacct?

Would be extremely useful.

I believe these header files define the information wrote to give people a rough idea.

/usr/include/sys/acct.h
/usr/include/linux/acct.h

Thanks

Thanks for replying.

That's the problem. The process accounting file can be properly understood by using the 3 unix tools, sa, sar and lastcomm.

A perl script could do all these tasks in one.

That's my reason for asking.

Best regards

Since no one answered your question, and you didn't reply very fast either, I'll move this one to the programming forum. Maybe there will take pity :-]
