NEWBIE: Other than Kylix or Qt ?

Hi ,

Iam in need to write a GUI based application running under RH7 or above ..... Now the only two products that offer Rapid Application Development ( RAD ) environment are Kylix and Qt and both are license based.

Is there any Free/GNU GUI apps development kit avilable ?

I know of only one ( Tcl/Tk !) but it doesnt seem to be RAD!

Sorry if this is a stupid question but basically iam a admin and not a programmer and hence my ignorance.

Does anyone know of GUI based app development kit other than Qt, Kylix ? It should be free to use ( non licensee)

Hi,

So far i only know of following IDE's:

1. KDE's IDE
2. Anjuta
3. Glade ( Gnome)
4. Eclipse ( www.eclipse.org )

Java. With maybe elipse as the IDE.

Qt has a free version, released under GPL i think, I know you said not kylix and Qt because of the licencing but Qt is also free
